Friends of Morses Pond

Annual Meeting

Thursday, May 15, 2008

7:30pm

Wellesley Main Library: Arnold Conference Room (second floor, front)

Agenda

1.      Elect new officers and an overview of coming activities.

2.      Presentation by Dr Ken Wagner on the progress of the Comprehensive Plan.  Ken will also take questions during and after his talk on any subject related to Morses Pond.  Ken will also tell us how we can participate in preservation activities, including hand harvesting of invasive plants and installation of benthic barriers at homeowner shorelines.

You are encouraged to attend this meeting. Your presence will help improve the profile of Friends of Morses Pond. Your presence can be thought of as a vote to support the management of the Pond.  It indicates you favor efforts to develop community interest in saving the largest natural resource in the Town of Wellesley which supports a significant portion of your drinking water, community-wide recreation, and opportunities to enjoy nature.

Whether or not you have yet been active in the Morses Pond preservation effort, we welcome your participation now.

Running the Friends of Morses Pond and the web-site does take a minimal amount of money, thus we’d like to collect annual dues of 10.00 at the meeting. Thank You.
